UNDERSTANDING A PHONE OS!!!!

this article is after many of my friends querying  about the terms like iOS ANDROID WINDOWS-PHONE7 and BLACKBERRY OS.

so lets get started...

WHY IS THERE A NEED FOR OS IN A PHONE:
unlike the previous days the necessity of os in today's phone is basically due to the advancement in features , utilities and demand for better machines.

with features like 'voice recognition' 'multimedia transmission' and various other state of the art specs it becomes highly impossible for embedded systems to run these machines , so an os is the solution to all these problems.

WHAT IT TAKES TO PUT AN OS IN PHONE:
After understanding the need for os in today's phone we all so need to understand that its not possible to stuff an os in any phone.

The following are to be considered before an os being installed in a phone:
1: A powerful or atleast a compatible processor which could handle the burden of os.
2: A RAM (random access memory to be precise) so that the processor could perform the tasks.
3: A ROM
4: A good screen or display to optimise the output of processor.(preferably an led screen in today's era due to low power consumption and better results)
5: And finally an input junction which is primarily a touch-screen in modern phones.

The better the above specs the better handset is produced.....
